I first purchased the B2 book which I found very difficult. I would consider myself an intermediate level student. This B1 book is a good challenge for me but not so overwhelming.
I like how the subsequent chapters refer back to material learned in earlier chapters - effective reinforcement.
This is a good addition to other study materials.
I also highly recommend French Demystified by A. Hemingway.

Apparently the editor considered to publish B1 because they published B2 earlier ,and it was very hard. Then B1 can be a bridge to cross and reach a higher performance of French language.
The book arrived well ahead of the scheduled delivery date. Very good !
